Start with your own reference pair

Measure both feet using the same method, with the socks you expect to wear. Also record a comfortable existing pair's label and, if removable, its insole length. Keep foot length, internal shoe length and outsole length in separate fields: they measure different things.

Ask which measurement the seller's chart actually describes. Record the chart's unit and the chosen size system. If the source offers different widths or versions, keep those options beside the size rather than relying on a product title.

Review the pair, then consider the parcel

Request clear views of both shoes, labels, soles and any visible defect that concerns you. A photograph can help compare visible colour or stitching; it cannot establish comfort, durability, authenticity or how the pair performs on your foot. Mark an unclear detail as unresolved.

Record whether a box or extra accessories are included. Packaging changes parcel dimensions as well as protection. Compare packing options in the shipping preparation guide before deciding what you need to retain.

Worked example: keep two lengths separate

Example only: your longer foot measures 26.5 cm and a familiar removable insole measures 27.2 cm. A listing says '27 cm' without defining the measurement. Do not turn that number into a size recommendation. Ask whether it means the foot, insole or outsole, then compare like with like.

Save the answer with the source link, selected colour and size. The CSSBuy shop guide explains where those details fit into an order.

  • Record the left and right size labels if photos show both.
  • Keep a note of wide-fit or narrow-fit questions.
  • Treat missing measurements as a reason to ask, not to guess.

Common questions

Does the same EU size always fit the same?

No. Compare the seller's defined measurements with your own reference pair. A size label alone does not determine fit.

Are these shoes already checked?
