Compare the outline before choosing a letter

Measure your reference garment flat: underarm width, shoulder seam width where applicable, body length and sleeve length. Keep the measuring points consistent with the seller's diagram. A boxy shirt and a long slim shirt may share a size label while differing in several of these measurements.

Record the actual option text for colour and size. If the listing groups a plain version, a printed version and different fabrics together, do not assume that a single chart or photograph applies to all of them.

Separate a visible detail from a material claim

For a printed T-shirt, note the design position, approximate scale and whether it appears on the front, back or both. Compare available images with the selected option rather than with a collage that shows several versions. Ask for a clearer image when a small detail matters.

Opacity, hand feel, fabric composition and shrinkage cannot be established from a styled photograph. Record the seller's stated specification as a seller claim. If you later receive a garment, follow the provided care information rather than assuming every cotton-looking shirt behaves the same.

Worked example: a shorter body changes the comparison

Example only: your reference shirt is 54 cm across and 72 cm long. A candidate says 56 cm across and 68 cm long. The stated measurements describe a wider, shorter outline, not a guaranteed 'true to size' fit. First verify the length start point and whether the figures apply to your selected version.

Keep packaging and weight questions with the row before moving to the CSSBuy shop guide.

  • Compare the chosen colour in consistent light where possible.
  • Keep front and back designs distinct.
  • Record whether measurements are missing or only approximate.

Common questions

Does a product photo show the exact shirt I will receive?

It may be a seller reference image. Match it to the chosen variant and distinguish it from any later warehouse photo.

Can I assume a T-shirt will shrink?

Do not assume a percentage. Use the seller's material and care information and keep uncertainty visible.
